New River Announces Promotions to Promote Corporate Growth and Independence

The Board of Directors is determined to align the corporate structure.

 CLOVERDALE, VIRGINIA – On August 12th, 2024, the New River Electrical Board of Directors announced the following promotions: 

Laura L. Volpini will take on a new role and be promoted to Executive Vice President – Enterprise Shared Services. This new role in the organization will provide synergy among the shared service entities of the company, allowing for effective and efficient growth. Laura has proven to be an effective leader, and her commitment to team collaboration will promote the improvement of effective workflows throughout the enterprise. Laura will remain the Corporate Secretary and continue serving on the Board of Directors. 

Greg Gibbs is promoted to Executive Vice President- Operations. Greg has delivered tremendous results in just over two years while leading our operations team in Cloverdale through generational succession. Greg continues to align and grow the Cloverdale operations team while prioritizing professionalism through the implementation of industry-leading processes and workflows. Greg will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. 

Jake Grice is promoted to Executive Vice President – Operations. While serving in advanced operational roles for over a decade at NREC, Jake has a proven track record of effective leadership and decision-making while successfully growing the operational teams he has been responsible for. Jake has shown a tremendous ability to lead and manage groups into new territories while tackling new and advanced scopes of work, a vital skill and talent for our future corporate success. Jake will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. 

Jennifer Langley is promoted to Vice President of Risk and Compliance. Jennifer is a proven leader at NREC, with advancement in safety and risk management roles over the last 16 years. Her dedication and commitment to the corporate mission and vision are notable and compelling. Jenniffer will play a tremendous role as a corporate officer and provide much-needed leadership during our aggressive expansion efforts. Jennifer will report to Laura Volpini from the Cloverdale office in her advanced role.
